Teaching Pranks: Make Believe as a Form of Knowing

Join us on Saturday, February 27th at 10:30 in the Rotunda for Beauvais’s workshop on teaching pranks!

This workshop will introduce participants to a one-credit freshman seminar course titled Pranks. In the Pranks course students complete five projects: (1) a prank letter to a corporation, company or government agency, (2) a group prank in the spirit of Improv Everywhere, (3) an annotated bibliography of three articles from the Journal of Irreproducible Results, (4) a prank flyer for a campus audience and (5) a final project where they invent a student club/organization. The workshop will present an overview of the course and intended outcomes. In small groups, participants will brainstorm ideas for three of the course assignments.
